Mena highlights the first solo restaurant from acclaimed Chef Victoria Blamey, who honed her technique at Chumley’s, Gotham Bar & Grill, and Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Located on the iconic Cortlandt Alley, Mena, named after Blamey’s great-aunt, showcases globally inspired plates seen through Blamey’s South American heritage and her personal journey through Europe, New York, and Chile.
The stylish Tribeca restaurant, is a calm space with its 50-seats and a setting that makes you feel as though you stepped outside the city for a moment. Opened in January 2022, it has already hosted a NYFW event showcasing its marble countertops, cobalt blue upholstered booths, and a cozy bar that exudes warmth via custom overhead brass lighting and an expansive antique mirror installed over the backbar to reinforce views of the side street.
Inspired by the all day cafes and brasseries of Europe – especially those in Vienna and Praque, Mena’s welcoming ambience and tucked-away location will make you feel as if you have just discovered New York City’s next hidden gem.
